    Hi old bean!

    Looks like a good start.

    Thank you folks :)

Btw.: the model of the cryosat got a new "face" and had been reused as "Relay Station 47" in episode 139/S6Ep13 "Aquiel"

...and now back to the workbench ;)

Nice work on the cryo satellite. (I like that episode :)) Are you going to do the Relay Station 47 version also?

Yeah, it was a cool episode. Sometimes i ask myself how i would act, if i would have been in this situation ;)
Yes, i'm planning to model the relay too :)

I like the dramatic return of the Romulans and seeing Andy Probert's awesome Warbird design for the first time. Plus, the part with the 20th century humans was fun. :)

Ah, the warbird scene!! This bird just looks really ANGRY  .The romulans always had very cool ships (except for that , imo, ugly mining thing in ST XI :D )
  • evil_genius_180evil_genius_1804256 Posts: 11,034Member
The ugly mining ship was supposed to be more normal looking before the Tal Shiar hooked Nero up with some Borg enhancements. (which makes no sense, as he was supposed to be a mining captain, not even a military man) Then it became weird. ;) The real Romulan designs are cool, though. :D

    My words :)

Little update. I was to lazy to do much panel-lining but at least i have some basic textures on it.

    It's looking great. :D

Probably because you are switching between all those constellations the whole day?!?

Ok, working a bit on module 04 and i installed some navigation lights...

No, that was before I started playing with the Constellation again. ;)

    That's looking great. :D

I started to build the relay station. Most parts can be used as they are, but i will have to make quite a view changes on the old module 03...

I am, so far, finished with the cryosat.
Now i can concentrate more on the relaystation and on the damaged version of the cryosat.
What do you think about this bird?:

Nice. Did you actually cut it or use a transparency map?
  • ChanurChanur191 53.33° N / 10.00° EPosts: 305Member
I deleted a part of the solar panel and booled the damage into the remaining panel.

Here's the (nearly) finished damaged starbord panel:

I was actually looking for this little number... to redo the FX from "The Neutral Zone."
    AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC 12GB
    1TB NVMe SSD, 2 x 1GB SATA SSD, 4TB external HDD
    32 GB RAM
    Windows 11 Pro

Should be quite easy for you - your redo's are pretty cool :)

Very nice, but I would add some soft burn streaks to them, so the edges aren't so defined, if you get what I mean...

    Sorta like this:

Thanx for the link Chris :)
I was a little bit bored working on the damage texture but i made this little, simple flyby to see this thing in motion:
