Watching Talespin on DVD when you're sick makes you do some strange things.

I kitbashed my T-6 Texan into something vaguely resembling the Cape Suzette Interceptors seen in the show. They sure blew up a lot, but I loved seeing them as a kid.

It sure was fun totally ignoring any and all references, plans, walk-arounds, or logic when building this!

Note that we've got a human pilot now, but I'm sure he's furry where it counts. :)

Hrmm, all I remember of TaleSpin is the sea plane. Wasn't it a Tales of the Gold Monkey knock-off with the bear from the Jungle Book movie?

Nice job on the Interceptor. Kind of strikes me as having a bit of Fw-190 and Sea Fury about it, with maybe a dash of P-47 thrown in.

@DCB, Yep! It was a great show! And now that you mention the Sea Duck...

who'd a thought a bear, living in a jungle his whole life could master the principles of aviation, let alone purchase run and maintain his own aircraft and courier business. All that and regularly outwit the heavily armed sky pirates. Looks great so far, I don't recall the interceptors and haven't seen the show since a very young age but the duck looks just like I remember it.

Thanks Coolhand, the Duck just won't leave me alone! Added some more details.

Thanks Juvat! I churned out a quick pirate fighter today on my lunch break, just to see how fast I could do it!

I've grown to love this silly cantilevered biplane design!

Wow I think I'm Running out of digits to count the influences on; with so many ingredients Its like a big 'ol pre-war aviation burrito all rolled into one airplane.;)

I think the last couple of renders with the vivid colour and specular highlights / reflections look much better btw.

Needs some motion blur on those props. And how about some cel renders?
