When I try to view the video, a message comes up saying "This video is private.", and it fails to play.

    EDIT:
Just saw the alternate link underneath. Hope that works.

    Edit:
Well, that didn't work (could be my connection, though), but the youtube video started working again just now.

Nice job, the explosion of the Odessey is particularly impressive.

Yea, I had all my videos on private for a while... still have a few to go in and re-publicize...

I love the chunk flying off after the explosion. THe yellow from the damaged parts just prior to the explosion is a bit bright tho...

Yea, the damage parts were hard to get matched perfectly from one moment to the next...

Damn, I love watching what you folks are capable of with the animations!

Great work Chris. Would love to see much more, but it must be time consuming to plan it all out and render.

It's been a long time since I posted in this thread.

However, here's my most recent DS9 oriented video. :)

This project is finally completed, there will be more DS9 stuff to come. This was just a short simple project, to kind of get the feel of lighting Skye's excellent Defiant model.

The next time you see the Defiant, she may have internal bits and bobs inside the warp engines, and more improved lighting on the back side for the warp engines.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I frame videos like this for 4:3, so the left and right sides hide a lot of sharp edges on layers, especially the explosion at the end.

the explosions, especially the one the defiant flew through after blowing up the klingon vessel, seemed to last too long. the one with the defiant hadn't even seemed to be "slowing down" when the clip of defiant flying through it ended, as if it were being supplied with a constant fuel source the whole time rather than being a quick blast. ships looked great and i liked your cloak effect on the defiant at the start, nice shots ( as in weapons, though the camera angles were also good) and shields and one can sort of "feel" just how close the vorcha is to the other ship's underside around 0.49 . very cool.

In the original episode shot, the explosion doesn't even end by the end of the shot when the Defiant comes swooping by the camera, it really does linger in the show.

    Thanks. :D
