Well since others are posting lego related stuff, I figured I'd show my MOCs. I have not the patience for the 3d apps and all the clean up req to the parts in max. Posting this in WIP since if there is interest I can post progress images of any MOC designs in the future. I hope to get all of these digitized at some stage to share files or to do instructions.
As usual with SFM image here is a icon, real images follow.
Each day we draw closer to the end.

I am jpging these a bit to save room, if you want cleaner versions my DA has them. (well most of them anyway)
[edit 4-5-12] oops these are a bit large maybe I will ref the smaller with a link to the larger? Bear with as I edit things up. As well I am guessing what was here since I well cleared the images out sorta by accident when clearing old attachments. If the images fail then go to my DA account the nick is rushedart. Since I think everything i had posted here is up there in much higher rez than the forum allows. [edit]
WIP that died
Some old OLD crap, starting with I think the oldest.
Dunno why the green one is missing bits. Most of these were smashed up in a rubbermaid bucket.
Reality only the gray one is a real attempt to mimic canon ships. The Vespa is a rough attempt with what was on hand. Likely if I sit down with the parts lists I could devise something more to scale.
Stuff loosely based on the new series Fam the Silver Wing.
WIP
The complete models
Sorry the leocad one is awol, I will dig through my imageturd to see if I have it there if not Ill dig about for the image elsewhere and uploaded it at some point.
Extra image of a bad used lego I got in a shipment and what it looked like after waxing it. Im sure a a bit of thick leather with auto wax on placed on a flat surface would work better. Care must be taken not to "round" the bricks.
all great stuff! that Macross one is really sweet! if it had been an actual kit, it would have definately been on my "bug Mom till she caves and buys it list"
It's all your fault, you know. You had to post all of this cool Lego goodness over at 3DSciFi and get me interested in Legos again. Then you went and told me about LeoCad. Now a bunch of people are blaming me for starting it, but it's really all your fault. (except stonky, of course, his Lego thread has been going for over 3 years)
Seriously, it was nice seeing everything again all in a row like that. You're creating some awesome Lego stuff, that's why it's so inspiring. And you're using real Legos, that makes it even cooler. (I'm too lazy to whip out my Legos and I have space issues anyway)
I like that orange one from the thread image
Dark blue bit,
edit: Yes definitely some influence, his style is right up my ally. I did find recently some leocad mlcad breakdowns in his flicker account. I have been out of lego for a while so a lot of techniques are new and well Im pretty rusty. I also hold onto some stiff rules, all models should be playable. So far I have stuck to the minifig scale. Prior I mostly avoided them. Some reason Im hooked on them atm. Might be all the new parts for them. dunno. hah.
yup most of these were done in Oct, Nov, and Dec. I think the orange is just my cam being suck, it is lego red. I really need a good manual camera again. And well a proper shooting booth too vs a ikea shelf with paper taped on and a mess of lamps with various high watt CFLS in.
I tend to build microscale. I've got a couple of ships built, but no pictures. I plan on remedying that in February when I go back home.
Bye
In honor of biotech, who first got me into the whole 3D modeling thing, I built his Klingon Knife Fighter. Unfortunately I don't have many pics of it.
Here is the only pic I have of my Battle Cruiser.
For more pics check out my portfolio.

Here is a old one I forgot to upload to da etc. Edited it up and just never did anything with it. :shrug ?!
warning it is 920X4525
I have a few others that I need to photograph but atm my little photo studio is in pieces and in need of a new backsheet.
Naan Z-40 (zed) Attempt at linear building. Not enough "blue" parts and lacking in the gray parts as I was originally wanting to build a classic space model. I guess a bricklink order is called for or smashing up some old models. I am lacking in some parts though. It detracts from the "Naan" series by having the plain gray bits on vs the lighter blue mixed with the dark and black bits. Shrug.
Dunno, I had the parts int he right colours so I just well, built it. lol
i always loved the blacktron stuff, i could probably copy that last one with my old brick bucket
which is odd cause uh it was there when I tested the urls last night.
heh ok edited the code, again it had added 2 strings of http:// even though the original urls do not retain this the stupid pop up menu (bloody hate the new one) seems to add its own then add yet another on top. go fig.
