Lovely. Love Wiley's work. And your conversations look splendiferous.
Any idea what's next on your roster? JJPrise, KroenerPrise?

I already converted his JJPrise, not sure if I still have it, because MadMan made his version 6 which is dang near movie like.

As for the re-imagined Enterprise, maybe...

Not bad..but not exactly something hard to do really!...and you have a lot of segmentation on the model, and it's missing all it's running lights.

    Thanks.

Yea, I'm working on the lights right now, I'll see what I can do about the segmentation... not sure how to improve that though, any ideas, only thing I can think of is remodeling certain parts...

Yeah. but we should keep in mind, that this ship was originally made to be used within the bridge commander game and from that point of view it is quite good imo :)

    29,553 polys? not bad !

I'm fixing to upload another WIP update, have about 1/3 from what I can see of the lights working, etc. I lowered Max's default 1.0 blur to 0.01 the lowest it will go, so they are as sharp as the texture maps...

    Update:
Here is the 2nd WIP video:

Still some lights to add, glows, etc. Should be done by tomorrow, and then I can start animating.

You can reduce the saucerA’s segmentation just chamfering the edges. Therefore, I believe youA’ll have to select them manually first. ;)

Dang, I already re-set the scene for another shot... :/

Well, the light that is illuminating the ship is a bluish light @ about .75 of 1.0 in intensity, and then their is a duplicate light, only it's intensity is about .2 and it's the exact opposite side as the brighter light.

Then there is a specular only light to the back right of the Enterprise, or via the picture, the back left...

The color of the whole shot was done by adding an adjustment layer to all the layers in AE, with a Tint effect.

Chris, you might want to cut back on the coffee if people think you're dealing out electric shocks. ;)

    Very nice.
The shots of the Reliant seem far too dark, but the Enterprise and the lighting for her shots look really good.

The shots of the Enterprise and the nebula are almost identical to the movie, well done for getting it almost spot on perfect.

You are getting much better and lightings and settings
  • Chris2005Chris2005675 Posts: 3,096Member

I might adjust that one shot of the Enterprise coming in and passing off to the left, the clouds are kinda choppy, I think I might of slowed them down to much, lol, they're shot @ 60 FPS, from the Video Copilot Package Riot Gear.
