Indeed:)
Now when I see your next render I need to ask: are these the stock materials of Maxwell? Or you make your own shaders. And How much time needs your computer to render such an image? And what config are u using for rendering (CPU, RAM...)?
No, they are my own materials, but you can easily create all kinds of materials using the material wizard.
a render like this takes about 2 to 3 hours.

Nice work! If I understand SolidWorks correctly, it's an actual solid modeling program (like CATIA, Unigraphics, Pro-E, etc.), and not a meshing program (like Lightwave, MAX, etc.)? If that's true, that must make it a lot easier (to me, at least) to model this since you don't have to deal with managing the mesh itself. Unless there's a limitation in the program I don't know about?
Yes indeed, SolidWorks is a solid modeller, but if it's easier that of course completely depends on the artist, I've seen solid modelling to cry over hehehe;), just as an example this Fiat I modelled in Silo :
I'm still trying to figure out how the head fits in that spot at the back?
In fact it doesn't fit at all, there is no place to lower the head when the arms are folded in to the body.
Also in real life it's not possible to fold the tracks into the bottom, because those brackets would have to cut into the tracks.
But nevertheless I will put in as much functionality as I possibly can

It is indeed Maxwell asddsa0147
Here is just another angle, and I'm working on the big track wheel now (below)

What he said! ^
This is for 3D, the physical models have there own section......;)
Only kidding..WOW!!
Is all I can say really, very, very nice. :thumb: Can't wait to see it finished.
Might we be seeing some 'moving pictures' of Mr. Wall-e??
You've just jumped to the top of my list "People to call when having problems with Solidworks". Hope you don't mind
