I'm loving this ship, really like the design and that giant telescope.
So these "bullets" are not self guided missles or anything like that, and only travel on a straight trajectory? And how does it evade being detected on the cylon DRADIS, it is twice the size of a Viper, assumed it would go up on DRADIS.
the ship shoots from out of dradis range. (hence the giant telescope. no electronic auto aiming. good old people adjust it)
the bullet is traveling too fast. they 'll never be able to intercept it. or avoid it.
of course they detect it on their radar, but in a few seconds they have no time to do anything. and due to the radar lag, the bullet wouldnt appear where the screen shows it.
edit : LOL, i could model stealth bullets. that could be funny
the magazine can only hold the socket. front ends are stored on special rooms. the front end is inserted into the firing chamber, locked in position, then the socket arrives.
there would be around 20 sockets, and 8 front end of each kind. explosive, piercing and fragmentation. plus maybe nukes or stealth for special missions.
reloading should take around 4-5 minutes.
aiming as well.

there are more layers of hull in the aft part of the ship, mostly because it holds the bullets front end storage rooms.
cardridges can be thrown away easily by ejecting the magazine in space in case of emergency.
Yeah, I really like this ship Can you get me in contact with your boss ? I want to tell him that this is more important than some "job" ...
I don't know if that's a nitpick but I think it would be better if some parts were not so smooth , to give the ship a more "rough" look.
But that's only my (bad) taste The model is awesome.

now they can make the ship turn.
added details on the telescope, and randomly on the hull.
i changed my computer, cant find that greeble plugin anymore.
very usefull to add some boxes here and there.
im doing now the stealth nuke bullet.
thats gonna hurt.
next step will be add some flak guns.
but very few. just enough to make the crew feel safe.

a jumpstar.
very small ship whose only job is to take 20 vipers jump, deploy the fighters and jump out.
eventually jump back to pick them up.
a military version of what they made with the colonial mover ship when they attack the asteroid cylon petrol refinery.
l2k this has turned out to be a great ship the last time I saw your work was when you started and only work on the gun was done nothing on the ship or super structure now that I take a pic I must say I've become a fan of your work its simply a great ship good work hope to see more soon

As for the aiming bit, would they use tactical info from other ships that are closer to get a general idea as to where the ships are?

this ship can send to hell a full cylon baseship in one shot.
in best conditions, a whole formation of basestars.
snipestars CO love to say... one shot one kill
and really good snipestars CO say : one shot, twelve kills

i dont know about you, but i hate vray.
Have to ask though...if you hate vray, why dont you use mentalray or something?
and i had to learn it.
i could spend my days re learning MR, but i prefer spend my "free" time modeling

actually i have 9 flak on each side. i think its more than enough.
its maybe even too much
i wont round the angles of the hull plating. the ship is not meant to be made for such closeups.
