Uh, yeah they did. They just didn't have any that perfectly fit the space helmet. They just reused the round helmet visors, so there's a gap left for the mouth to be exposed.
Wow! What program are you using? I think you nailed the textures. The bricks looked "wet" in some of the earlier renders, but this one is amazing. Nice Work!
Thanks all, it's always nice to hear that your work is appreciated. I think I got the Galaxy Explorer for Christmas or my birthday one year when I was 11 or 12 years old - best present ever! And I love that my son is as excited by Lego now as I was back then (and who do you think keeps him fully supplied with Star Wars lego? ).
I picked up about 50 of those little space suited guys on ebay a few years back, they were in a display and all the parts had been glued together so they cant come appart, but the arms and legs still move.
Always wondered why if yellow was the skin colour for lego people there was also a yellow space suit.
Not something they have to worry about now they have gone to real skin tones on the minifigs

Yup, already done - I'm just turning it off right now to speed up the renders (I'm really impatient. ).
Its soooo cool!

I'm sure Darth Vader would have preferred this over his Star Destroyer, had he known....:D

I don't know, but they didn't have visors:

It's been done. Check out ldraw.org. The part library is in a fan-created text format, but it is easy to convert.
Really really nice!
HEHE I'm actually rather proud that you choose to model this... since LEGO is Danish and all:p
True. I'm just saying that you CAN put visors on them. They just don't look all that great.

I'm working on the $^#&! transparent pieces now.
Going for a ride:
