    UPDATE...
    Haven't been doing too much.
Some warp engine details. I'm gonna rebuild the warp grills, try to save some polies on that.
    164-1.jpg
    Starting on some transporter emitters.
    165-1.jpg
While I had some time I did the impulse engine for the Redwood class ship.

    looks sweet.

I just realised that it has many retro elements of the TMP-era. Sweet.

Dang the details on that bridge section are hot.

    Looks fine!
Niptick: For the second ship, I suggest you to increase the pilons lenght a little.;)

No the point of the design was to have the engines close to the hull and tucked under it.

    UPDATE...
Started to do a little work on a bridge of another ship that I haven't named yet. I might name them after lakes.

So, let me get this straight....about twenty years after "Endgame", Section 31 decides to splinter-off from Starfleet / The U.F.P. as they're (somewhat-justifiably) concerned with the direction of Earth's desire to take everyone under their wing. They're likely concerned about expanding at a time when they might be better served by waiting to see what kind of fallout results from Voyager's adventures in the Delta Quadrant.

Looks nice! The new ship is something like a future Reliant?

Actually I'm ignoring Voyager for the most part.

    UPDATE...
Rebuilt the bridge. I like this one more.

Looks good. Reminds me a bit to the Miranda- class.
  • XFozzbouteXFozzboute654 Posts: 1,627Member
Yeah, the roll bar will do that.

This is very interesting idea. I'm going to watch this thread closely.

    Good job. :thumb:

    UPDATE...
I have finally got the primary hull in the shape I want. Now getting this thing finished should be much easier since this was one of the things holding me back. I just have to decide on the Navigational deflector and shuttle bay(s). You can also see some of the work I've done for the warp engines.

    Looks nice.
I'm looking forward for the shape of the hull. From what I see now, it's going to be a sweet ship.

    UPDATE...
I worked on the shuttle bay and the shuttle bay observation room thing.

Man I dont confess to know alot about Star Trek XFozzboute but this is a neat design. Realy neat looking.

On a modern American aircraft carrier, the flight deck observation thingie is called 'PriFly," or "Primary Flight Control."

The more I see of this ship, the more I'm taken by it. Nice work so far!
  • XFozzbouteXFozzboute654 Posts: 1,627Member
Thank you, that's good to know.

    UPDATE...
    Turbo lift is coming together.

Nice update. I like the carpet on the turbo lift.
  • XFozzbouteXFozzboute654 Posts: 1,627Member
I was pleasently surprised that the carpet turned out exactly as I wanted it to.
  • AresiusAresius359 Posts: 4,171Member
    Wonderfine! A nice lift.

    But...

You shouldn't shake it too much. The dude inside looks a bit afraid; he already grasps for the borders. ;)

Wow you've got some beautiful ships here :D I really like the designs and attention to details. 5/5 and keep up the great work !

    UPDATE...
Added some details to the back underside. A test phaser stripp and transporter emitters.
    182-1.jpg
Here's a shot of another test phaser strip on the top.
    183-1.jpg
I'm thinking of adding a botanical section like on the Enterprise refit. I think I'll put it at the step section.

Nice ship! Looks like one hell of a big speedboat :D
I've got to ask though: Are those diagonal lines between the holes in the front of the pylons intentional? They do look a bit weird to me
  • XFozzbouteXFozzboute654 Posts: 1,627Member
It might be a smoothing issue. I plan on rebuilding the pylons anyway so I should be able to fix the problem.
  • tobiantobian226 Posts: 1,600Member
Yep looks like a smoothing error to me, as you've cut roundish holes into a curved surface.. you need some control faces to stop that happening.

Otherwise it's getting better and better, but yes, that's the problem with doing so much detail.. it takes REALLY ages to do it all :D
