Felicitous salutations!

I started this ship a week or two ago. It's the Colonial Guardian designed by Todd Boyce who also designed the Defender which ended up becoming canon.

    Amazing design... personally I never liked the org design of the Guardian, evne back then when it first appeared as fanboy design! But what you've done so fare has just the right vibe man... keep at it:thumb:

    here's a size comp
    Cygnus is 695m long, but I haven't done the math on the Guardian yet, so I'm guessing it's between 550 and 650 meters :D

    Damn, that's a good looking ship there. I like the way the rounded shapes blend into the flat/square shapes so well.

    I with Larsen in both cases...I didn't like the Guardian either but I sure do like yours. Nice work Mr. Stept.

    I would have thought that this one would be bigger than the Cygnus but its up to you, just my thoughts on it

    well considering that Cygnus is 10 meters longer than the USS Enterprise E I thought it wouldn't be plausible to have it be bigger than that :lol:
    other than Battlestars I don't think that Colonial ships would be city sized

    I imagine that these ships were built at the height of the war. very quickly and cheaply constructed with modular systems, such as the reactor
    maybe it's more of a EW or recon ship than an offense/defense ship
    I dunno . . . at this point I'm more concerned with building it than the fictitious tactical issues :D

    I have to chime in and say that th reactor thingy is great and makes this design stand out. That said, it needs some weapons or it's not much of a guardian, eh ? ;)
