Maybe. Or they might just be taking a snack break. Unloading supplies is hard work! :P

It sure is. I work in a store. ;)

Used to work in a warehouse in both receiving and shipping before I moved over to IT work and inventory control. Nothing like boxing up stuff to ship, throwing other stuff on a conveyor or unstacking a mixed pallet to find every pain point you didn't know you had.

I started out in receiving in the store I work in. I did over 2 years as an unloader and supervisor. Now I'm the Lawn & Garden and Toys manager. I don't miss unloading trucks at all. ;)

Yeah, too many people seem to believe that animals think like and are driven by the same things that people are. They're not, they're way less selfish. Animals kill for exactly two reasons: protection and for food. So, either you scared or threatened the animal or its family or it's meal time. That's all there is to it.

No Tiny Trek this week. I'm harboring some kind of evil in the form of a cold virus and I am just not up to doing much of anything.

Thank you! Took most of the week. Was Covid, not a cold. First time I've had it. I won't say it was mild but I had a weird mishmash of symptoms. Most of them looked like a cold but the Doctor's test on day three told me otherwise. Meh.

Well now that I'm mostly back to 'operating within spec' it's time to get back to it!

Thanks again for all the well wishes everyone, and please don't tell the Captain I put my feet up on her helm. :P

Sorry to hear it was the dreaded 'Vid. Glad to know you're doing better, though. I've heard varying reports on the severity of Covid, likely due to different strains and different immune systems, etc. I've heard several people say it was like a cold or the flu.

Mine was like a really bad cold (I've been jabbed three times with vaccs too) but my partner's has been more flu like.

As many enemies as he has within Starfleet and outside of it, he likes to keep his main office location on a need to know basis. ;)

So, Dianne Belmont. Brief history of the real person that inspired the Admiral that's going to be popping up time and again.

She was born in 1911 in Jamestown NY. In 1929, she landed work as a model and moved to Broadway and began performing under the stage name Dianne Belmont. She'd move into films in the 30s and 40s and ended up on a radio sitcom. In the 50s, she'd end up starring in a television program with her then husband based off her former radio sitcom. It was massively successful and she and her husband ended up founding their own studio producing their own television shows. One of these shows, Mission: Impossible, would end up spinning off another series later on and a wildly successful action film franchise. The other show she banked on would end up as a massive sci-fi franchise that's been around for over 55 years, spawned multiple tv shows and thirteen feature films. That show, was Star Trek. She'd end up selling her production company, Desilu, to Paramount and would end up in several other sitcoms over the years. Dianne Belmont was better known as Lucille Ball.

Anyway, back to Tiny Trek ;)

Nice history lesson. I didn't know that was her early stage name. She's definitely a very important lady to me, as her company was the original home of two of my favorite franchises. It was actually due to her trying to keep the doors open at Desilu that led to Star Trek getting a second pilot. So, she's literally the reason we have Star Trek. B)

I really like this… I love the look of the anti-grav vehicle and the look of the dinosaur is pretty realistic.

Hey, so glad Tiny Trek is back. How was your trip? Now, I already know you did stare out of windows on a cruise ship. :) But beside that, did you came back relaxed and full of new inspirations?

I did. Came up with a two part 'episode' for season 4 of Tiny Trek. ;) That's a ways away though. And it was a great trip. Had lots of relaxing, good food, and the ship had the Queen Musical, so I was having a blast =)
