I’m mostly interested in playing with design. I like to try for something that looks different from what’s already out there. I’m not nearly as interested in making (or learning to make) the artistic, pretty pictures most people around here make.
I think that makes it difficult for people to give opinions or make suggestions, since they don’t know the direction I’m going. (Too often I don’t know either.)
I mean, I can’t believe no-one in the past ten years has come out and said “that sucks”, (or maybe something a bit more diplomatic (yet equally deserved.))
Anyway, all that’s just a long-winded, rambling preface to me saying how much I appreciate when people take the time to make a comment.
That's the thing about unique work, it's hard to critique and it definitely never sucks. That's not to say every design you've ever done has been my style, but that doesn't make it any less interesting. I really like the direction you're going with this one.
Worse than getting no critiques is getting the dreaded, ambiguous "Interesting". Ah, that triggers me.
Personally, I have a problem commenting on Star Trek designs. Which is a tremendous handicap around here. What can I say that hasn't already been said? And I mostly hate the designs coming from the new Trek, so that makes it very difficult.
Anyway, I added an airlock and a few other things.
I like the lattice-like detail with the red underneath it. The red really makes it pop. Also, are the pods on the sides VTOL engines and do they rotate? They look like they could.

"Done as it's gonna get."
I went back and did more to the drive coil, and stuck the front part back on.
That makes me think “Time Lord.”
Once again, love the detailing!
It's done - for now. I may come back and fix the lighting later.
This is the beginnings of the Drachenwesp. It's a reconnaissance craft.
Most of my work is based on "I wonder what that would look like"... and errors.

Then you probably won't like what I have planned next.
Although, I do sometimes miss the days around here when the discussions and critiques were more... energetic. Sometimes.
A few changes, updates and the like.
