I ran this bottom render which only showed me that I SO need to work on the paint and grime more. This model already has 3 UV maps purely for color.

Oooh love all those panels! Great job, how much more is there left to model on this beast?

Thanks. The wing roots in this picture need work and color correction. Everything Grey needs color correction and variation. The very bottom with the round trash-can-lid-like thing needs recoloring. Everything needs increased grunge and rust.

The grey piece overlying the red of the warp engine needs reshaping, there aren't enough greebles (green in this photo) under those "greeble covers"...

Not in this picture: I am still struggling with getting the dense greebles on the top of the bridge finished and placed correctly. After all that, I need to light up the windows and make them look occupied as well as do specular mapping and work.

    Every time I look - There's more.

The underside details and colors look fantastic.

The following is obviously my render of the difficult parts of this ship laid out in 90 degree angles, if anyone wants to do one of these. Note: Seen in the main ship side view, the belly of this thing still isn't deep enough. The degree to which I had to bend the round pipe under the neck to the belly was too great to get it to enter the right place. Starting from the back, you want a steeper angle for each section to the rounded front of the belly of the main hull. Just a degree or two for each section band that taper to the back.

Here are the top and bottom with wings flat (Wingtip disruptors aren't - hence the above render). And front and back with wings 30 degrees down and engines tilted away from center 9 degrees.

Here's the top with wings flat (but not wingtip disruptors again)

Thanks, Brandenberg. Those renders would be invaluable to anyone wanting to make one of these.

Great work and I agree thanks for the views! You should do some cloak/de cloak animations!

Thanks. I'm taking a break from it right now but plan on ultimately refining it to a finish...

...and when finished, you're right. I need to learn animation and do this.

I ran this bottom render which only showed me that I SO need to work on the paint and grime more. This model already has 3 UV maps purely for color.

I went from painting grime on the UV maps to mapping them seperatly on top of the UV-ed colors map with triplanar mapping, some with curvature and AO masks.

I cant wait til it decloaks to blast Kirk out of the stars!
Your bottom view has inspired me to keep modeling greebles on my own project!

Both these angles attempt to reproduce two of the really nice renders you can find of this ship.

This looks great. And the bird of prey is no doubt a huge pain to model (especially since a lot of the details are asymmetrical), so props!

Ya can't find the logo that's on the original model so I created one from scratch. This also has engine refinements and I fixed artifact problems on the bottom of the main hull (sorry I missed those).
