Since it's here, I'll continue with it.

I added some more glowy bits and spent a remarkable amount of time fixing a tiny but persistent problem that no-one besides me would have ever seen.

    Thank you. =)

Added a couple more glowy things and details. The red hexagons are the core ejection ports. I did have red/yellow warning stripes, but then I thought why not light them up? After all - more glowy things. I probably should put a couple of escape pods, and a transporter emitter. on the secondary hull.

Added more glowy bits, and some escape pods. It was pointed out that it might look better to have the pointy part of the pods facing inwards instead of outwards. (nested was also mentioned, but that will take more work to check.)

There are not enough civilian designs, even though the majority of Federation starships plowing the spacelanes would not be Starfleet, or even armed, but civilian. Everyone on here who does a lot Star Trek designs should definitely have at least one civilian design in their folder.

IMHO, the points facing out look better.

Another option for the escape pod arrangement.

I made the upper cargo door smaller, and reworked the airlocks. I added a few little people outlines to get the scale sorted out.

The windows with support structure has now gotten me on board with this. Haven't seen anything like that in the Trek universe and I like it. Interested to see what the darker grey saucer strip becomes. Sensor greebles maybe?

I hadn't got much farther than it being a stripe, but I had been wondering where to put some sensor pallets, and that will work. I still need to think on what the pallets will look like. I may add some more down the sides.

Really liking the addition of the honeycomb-like frame work.

Thanks to you both. And thanks to Lizzy777 for the likes.

I've only seen a few small clips and a couple of screenshots of some of the new far-future ships. I'm not very sure what I'm looking at.

Working out the sensor pallet design. This is version two. Version one was terrible.

I went simpler with the sensor pallets than I was expecting.

Finished, I think, on the upper sensor emplacements.

Trying to remember all the stuff that goes on the outside of a Star Trek ship...

I've had this file open for almost every day for the last ten days. Yesterday was the first time in ten days I actually worked on it. Started on the lower sensor arrays.

Mostly finished the sensor pallet. I need to make a list of what else I need to add to finish things up.

Added a simple interior behind the windows. Some of my glowy-things seem to have stopped glowing.

fixed a few things, and added some windows to the underside of the saucer. Need to fix the room lighting.

I'm wondering if there should be a couple of phasers. Never can tell when they might come in handy.

    Great work!!

Maybe a couple phasers behind doors to eliminate a rogue asteroid or two?
  • rojrenrojren2298 Louisville, Kentucky USAPosts: 1,970Member
Thanks. I really appreciate comments and critiques.

The circled features are phaser arrays. They are meant to be high-end civilian units. (Maybe enhanced to test the use of Kreiger waves at the higher settings.)
