Looks fantastic to me, but then I'm not the stickler for accuracy that you are.

Eric. You're a stickler for accuracy? High five. :)
You're really getting that TV show feel.

What's wrong with it? I think it looks good, but then again I know nothing about lighting.

Heh, if you keep putting out work like this, that isn't going to be a problem. =)

I should have posted this earlier. I quite enjoy this image.

I really do love watching this ship evolve as you put more detailing into her. You're doing an amazing job.

I was tired and listless today, but I still wanted to have some fun. So, here are some more of the new model from various angles, but with some chromic aberration and distortion, along with some simulated film grain and blur. Like I said, just for fun. All done in Blender 3D.

Dang she's pretty in that shot. I love the deep cherry color on the bussards.

Thank you! I'm assuming you mean either the first or (more likely) the third image? I appreciate your kind words!

whoa, go easy on the chromatic aberration there - a little bit is always cool but don't be so heavy handed

They all have the same amount, I think. I'll tailor it.

Had a little fun this morning. I don't think I got it quite right, and of course, the 2nd Pilot ship was never shot from this angle, but again, just for fun. All done in Blender 3D, of course. A little post work in Photoshop. Inspired by Coward's work on his USS Enterprise.

Working on this sequence for real. Trying to make it look as much like the original as I can. All done in Blender 3D.

I've gone back and reimaged the sequence. I wanted the lights in the ship's windows to show a little better.

I've always wanted to make this sequence and do it with some justice to the original. In other words, I hope I'm close.

When I splice it into the correct spot and render it all out as a movie in the original episode, it gets all jittery. I need to fix that. Once I've got that fixed, I'll show the short movie.

    Thanks for looking in!

It definitely looks better with the window lights more brightly lit.

The only _only_ criticism i have of the latest screenshot is that the model itself "too perfectly" joins between the neck and the saucer. I am pretty sure in the "canon" studio shot, the actual studio model had a pretty big seam there where they forgot to stick wood glue/putty/whatever in that gap to seal it up. Might be worth shrinking the verts along the neckline there to finish the near-perfect recreation? :)

Are you doing the grain and frame damage in PS or doing that in blender's compositor?

Thank you. This one is only generated in Blender's compositor. No Photoshop in this one!
