This is a mix of the parts from the Star Wars Rebels 'Ghost' that I like and something inspired by the Millennium Falcon. There is a lot of detail to add to this but this is an initial design.

I can almost see it as a captains's yacht on a New Republic manned Star Destroyer--going on the dome underneath.

Hm, I never would have thought of blending those ships, but it works. Great idea and it's off to a great start. :)

I see this as my personal ship - if I lived in the Star Wars universe. A Corellian designed light freighter.
I've started to add the external detail - some plating, a side docking ring and some engine detail. Engine detail should make you think of the Millennium falcon, but not be the same. I've also added a stormtrooper figure for scale.

Glad you put "Nameless Cannonfodder Trooper" in there for scale, as for a while the ship looked quite a bit smaller (due to the larger diameter of your cockpit relative to the docking rings, compared to most CEC freighters) ;) On the subject of the cockpit also, the window panels seem a bit haphazard to me? But as you say it's your personal ship, so if that's the look you're going for, fair play! *shrugs* :)

Are you planning to put a greeble-trench in around the entire ship? I know the VCX-100 from Rebels doesn't have one, but when they revamped the mesh for Rogue One a fully greebled trench was added in to be more in line with other CEC freighters.

    Keep up the good work!

    I'm liking it so far!

It looks a little flat to me though, do you plan to add an antenna dish like the Millennium Falcon had, or some turrets?

I work in AC3d and tend to do my 'sketches' in AC3D so until you see a finished ship there will be changes as I go along. To answer a couple of the queries above - yes there will be a 'greeble' trench but only on the back half; there will be a small radar/antenna mounted centrally alongside a small armament system; and the cockpit will evolve to look more like a B52 bomber.

Some more panelling detail added as well as the obligatory radar dish. Still a lot of detail to add and some tidying up to do on the existing body work. I've also run a few lighting renders, though no texture work has been done so far

Ok. So its been a while, for lots of reasons, but I finally got back to this piece of work. Plenty done, some changes to the shape and a much more detailed 'back story'.zvulss3xmk6z.jpg

    Interesting little ship!

The sensor dish looks on a racetrack. An action scene of it slewing about would be cool

Looks good. It's got that "used" look that Star Wars is known for.
