Been eyeballing the nice details on this ship for a while. Interestingly it was designed by Ralph McQuarrie to be the Colonial Viper on Battlestar Galactica. Found some great blueprints online which has been a nice aid. The nose points were a bit of a pain, but overall it's been fun to make so far. Not sure if I'll model or texture all those panel lines...

It looks real nice, like a racecar for outer space. My only question is how one gets in and out of there. If it's a fighter, it needs to be an easy process.

It's from the show Buck Rogers, which I haven't seen, but have been admiring the models. I think the cockpitslides up. There are a lot of panel lines yet to be added that will probably reveal it.

@japetus & @BlueNeumann, It been over 20 years since I last saw the show.
The cockpit hatch pop's up a little and slides forward.

    **Edit**
Just found a pic of it open.

Poor Erin was given a model of the fighter and heat from her central A/C melted the “fangs”

Some updates...lots of weird greebles to model...and everyone's model is different! About half way through...still debating if i won't just texture some of them...we'll see how it goes!

Modeled most of the body panels today, PHEW! That was quite a chore, but looking good. Hope to do the wings and rear greebles tomorrrow....should be a lot easier!

Looking good. That's got quite a bit of paneling for its size.

This is a ship I am totally unfamiliar with, but your work makes me want to check it out. Slick job, excellent work.

Ok....finally got the modeling done I think! Phew! The body of the ship was easy enough, but all those panels were quite a beast! I modeled them in, using a combination of Max's newer powerful Chamfer modifier and sub-d modeling. Hoping next week I can bang out the texturing pretty quick.

Forgot some of the panels on the booms...those were hard! Ignoring a couple weird corners, will add some dirt ;)

Finished it! Modeled in 3ds Max, textured in Substance Painter. Was a lot of fun to model!
