Yeah, that looks really nice. Animation is where all of that work on the interiors really pays off, at least as far as exterior shots go. There's no substitute for fully modeled interiors.
Agreed. It immediately makes me wonder about the stories the people inside have to tell.
Oh wow, how have I not seen this before?... and how have you managed to get that much interior? Granted I was using an ancient version of Max and an ancient PC, but mine started slowing down quite a bit when I just did a couple of decks with some really low detail (albeit inefficiently modelled) bits... Ungh, I wish I didn't find blender so anti-intuitive!
These are all great, the only thing I'd crit for the flyby is to slow it down, obviously to give the viewer more time to bask in the glory of all that interiorness, but that will probably take 3 times as long to render out I guess.
I wasn't sure myself, if my Notebook would one day simply give up, but so far everything is still working pretty smoothly. It helps, that Blender makes it really easy, to only work on the parts you need, while not calculating the others. So there's almost never everything in the viewport. Except vor Rendering.
I am rendering all this on a five year old mid range Surface Book. So yeah ... it's not easy, to make the animations that much longer :-D ... before Blenders new AI Denoiser, I couldn't really do them at all but that thing is pure magic ...
I wasn‘t happy with the shuttle, so I started over. It’s now a little bit more similar to the Kelvin Timeline ones, but those were actually pretty good homages to the TOS Shuttles (unlike Discovery, which borrows heavy from the TNG aesthetic)
I tried to chrome out the sides a little, but it didn’t really come through. Anyway, here’s another render. Another little animation is also in the works, since I’m still not happy with the texture and some parts of the hull. And there are things, that are easier to judge in motion. At least for me 😁👌
Thank you! ... I used to love animating stuff. It was one of the reasons I got back into 3D Modeling again a couple of months back. Though I feel, it was a little easier in 3Ds Max 😅 ... and doing it on a 5 year old Notebook can be a pain, but that‘ll change sometime later this year.

Well first of all: thank you! :-D

A quick little look around the new shuttle. I added a basic interior and some more details on the outside. Also tweaked the textures a little more.
Though I must say, I’m still unhappy with it. Maybe a few more greebles, pennants and a more detailed texture will do the trick ... 🤔
For modeling and Texturing I always use a daylight HDRI. Some things are so easy to overlook with just plain colors or even Space.
Pretty sure the crew is already at Brown Alert!
A little landing animation

Anyway. Here’s a shot from one of the consoles. Still need to tweak the lighting and the UV unwrapping though ...
