Wow. It's a lot of work to make those all blend like that, but it looks fantastic.

The shape of the nacelles is looking more contemporary with the Ent A. That fits my assumption that the Salcombe isn't long past launch either - maybe back into dock for post shakedown checks.

Your hard work keeps paying off :)

Well, they will literally be the exact same nacelles as the Ent A. Just like in the movie.

Or maybe construction on it was being completed as the Enterprise-A was being constructed. I'd imagine building a starship would be like a building, you finish the exterior and then the interior. In fact, it makes even more sense with starships, so you can pressurize the interior.

Well, as I draw to a stopping point for the weekend, I have completed modeling the entire upper side of the Salcombe except for the nacelles.

The more you work on this ship, the more I'm loving the design. I'm glad you're doing this and giving us a real look at this ship.

On my wish list for a 4th Kelvinverse movie was seeing more of ships like this, especially this one. You have well and truly scratched that itch expertly with this wonderful rendition of it. So if the Chris's (Pine & Hemsworth) wanted more dosh than projected revenues justified to do #4, then thanks to you, I'm good B)

Is the ship ready? Or are you still building there?
    I like this ship.

The ship has not been finished. I got severe burnout on modeling, so I took a little break. I am however, still working on the project it goes in, so in the near future, I'll have to swing around and finish her up. :)

I am releasing the mesh later this week, and I will do orthographics then. I assume that's what you mean by "four page view."

𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝟯𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗟 - U.S.S. Salcombe (Kelvin Timeline)

For materials to work properly, Diffuse maps should be read in as 2.2 gamma. All Roughness materials should be read in as 1.0 gamma. This will ensure proper rendering using PBR shaders.

    Formats...

    3ds Max 2017 / Vray 5 - Native format
    3ds Max 2017 Standard Scanline
