Tried to make an image that I have always failed at, and I may still not be there.

I always liked the Enterprise as it departed the episode on its way to its next adventure.

    Looks great to me. Though, that blue neck is totally throwing me off. I know it's accurate, but it looks wrong to me.

    Yeah, I've got to finish the WNMHGB version and remake this image. It will look more accurate then. Of course, this is the Pike / The Cage Enterprise and we never saw the ship shot from this angle with that paint job.

    Everyone has the same reaction to that. And indeed, we saw very little of that version of the ship.

    These shots of the original model are a bit faded in color, but you can still see the blue in the neck.
