I keep showing you guys the same angles but with minor changes. Sorry about that. Bridge, BC Deck, saucer section (top and bottom) and Engineering hull are all textured. The neck is a material because I'm still not exactly sure what I want to do with it.

Changes to render settings, gamma and exposure.

    But still, progress.

    All done in Blender 3D.

    Thank you for looking in!

What's going on with that 1 on the one side of the lower saucer?

Nice pickup! I'll fix that right now!

When I joined some pieces into a single mesh (lower saucer) I lost my shrink wrap for the registries! I had tagged them all and put them back ... but that 1 just stood out! Go figure. I've reapplied the shrink wrap, and it seems to be behaving, but I'll have to keep an eye out for that in the future.

    Great job and thank you!

Someone on another forum said that the model looked like it had been lifted from the original series but without the stars. So, I just couldn't help but have some fun.

All right, I'm calling this one done. I may tweak some textures and/or materials at a later date, but I feel that this is fairly representative of the original pilot Enterprise.

I just watched "The Cage" last night and you definitely captured that ship. Now to make the animation of the flyover into the bridge :)

Yep. I've done one before, but with this one, I hope to get it right. Thanks!

There was a shot similar to this in the opening credits of The Cage, but it was shot with the three foot model. This is to see what it might have looked like with the 11 foot model. All done in Blender 3D, of course.

The motion blur and film grain takes your model far from looking like a 3D CGI model. Great work!

Love all the little 'knurling' details, thats what really helps sell it. I alwasy feel like the connie doesnt convey a sense of scale because of the lack of surface detail so getting that stuff in makes all the difference.
