@Brandenberg: Oh it's not really that hard, find a tutorial for it on YouTube, you'll see it's a 2 minutes process.
More work on the Gibraltar bridge, I've started work on the Prometheus-style pit consoles. The two forward ones will end up being identical to those on Prometheus, while the XO/Specialist consoles at the sides will share the styling but of course be much smaller.
I've also tweaked the color pallet on the walls, making the top section of each station a bit lighter, and modified the rails around the pit to reach all the way to the forward steps without clipping with the new consoles.

@Rusty0918: That's the way I originally presented it to my client, but they wanted it to go all the way to the forward steps.
I've finished the consoles (except for the LCARS, of course), and all the details of the pit area, including tweaking and finishing the steps. I've also moved the Captain's chair forward a bit, and added in the small tactical console in behind it.

I love the Prometheus as well, and even though the USS Prometheus bridge still has a lot of unique elements which I'd have to model (so I won't be doing it any time soon), I'm already playing around with ideas using the new consoles for other Prometheus-Class ships...
I've finished the LCARS for all the new consoles, plus some new gold/brown highlights were added to the carpet, wall fabrics, and doors. Also, the Captain's chair got moved a bit forward, to have some separation between it and the tactical console.

I was thinking that sunken Conn/Ops would work well for a variation of the Norway-class bridge - for the Piper-class (the name I dub it) - which is the top left ship here:
Interestingly, the bottom right ship would be an excellent design for a TNG-era cargo tug!
@Zhor2395: Indeed it is, my client for this one is the writer of the 'Star Trek: Gibraltar' fan series. Here's a brief background of the ship from the Expanded Universe wiki:
Originally launched in 2286 as the upgraded variant Constitution-class USS Hood, the ship was decommissioned in 2316. Following the Tomed Incident in 2341, the vessel was refitted as a hospital ship and rechristened the USS Gibraltar, though it retained its original registry as NCC-1859. After fourteen months, the ship completed its humanitarian assignment along the Federation/Romulan border and was returned to storage.
In 2375, in an effort to bolster Starfleet's ship numbers in the face of severe attrition during the Dominion War, the Gibraltar was once again resurrected from the boneyards and refitted with 24th century technology. An eight-month refurbishment at Starbase 234 succeeded in making the starship serviceable. However, its 2376 launch date came after the war's conclusion.
@SATR: I'd like that as well, though it's one hell of an endeavor. Voyager's is probably the most complex of all the 90's era Trek bridges.
@Rusty0918: I honestly hate that design, though I do like the other three. Regarding the bottom right one, Atolm expanded it into quite a cool design earlier this year, with cargo tug capabilities.
I've finished the new chairs for the bridge, which are actually some very old chairs! Yes, I've finally done the classic movies era chairs which were reused all the way to the 24th Century (and back to the 22nd Century in Enterprise!).
These were a pain to do as good references are super elusive, and despite all efforts I was unable to positively identify and verify their brand or model.
Just like on the real chairs, both the backrest and seat can be adjusted along the angled support in the model, and the chairs used on the perimeter stations are adjusted taller than the ones used on the central pit, just as they were on set for the Prometheus bridge.
I have no delusion of these being perfect reproductions, but I'm quite pleased with how they turned out.
Unless there's any additional request, now the bridge is indeed done. See you in 2020 with the finished renders!

@Rekkert ironically as a means to keep myself occupied putting 3m blue painter's tape in a box, i kinda came up with a similar sort of thing, only it was the NX-class up rated to 24th century technical standards. Alas, the headcanon starfleet exists mostly in my head and as a spreadsheet of factoids lol.

I see you have avoided the "giant tongue" on this one. Another very cool bridge. I think your idea of putting two more stations in front of the captain's chair is a good one. It always seems to me like the captain needs to have more of the bridge crew in front of him instead of to the side or behind.
I'll have to look up the flag-making process.
@Rekkert - I don't like it either. I actually dreaded the idea that they'd use it for the Enterprise-E after they trashed the Enterprise-D in Generations, since the design appeared in a DC Comics TNG story in 1994. John Eaves's Sovereign-class work of art is FAR, FAR better (and indeed better than the other concepts)! If I'd use it in one of my stories, it would be a ship I'd likely trash. But I've dubbed the ship class the Piper-class.
@Rusty0918: Yes, that and a couple of bridges I had lined up from Starscream, but I will get back to all that at the end of the month.
I'll be taking the week off from any commission work, as next week I will be going away on vacation (for the first time in years), so I'd rather not start another project just to leave it halfway done and get all anxious while away.
Still, I can't simply do nothing for a week, I get bored... Given the work done on the Gibraltar I kinda toyed around with doing the Prometheus, but as I mentioned before that's still way too much work to do as a personal project, as the entire perimeter area and ceiling need doing in some form or another. The idea of doing a Prometheus-Class based on the parts I already have was tempting though.
So I've started looking for other Prometheus-Class vessels in Memory Beta, and came across the USS Cerberus. According to the DS9 relaunch books, this ship was Admiral Ross' flagship following the end of the Dominion War. I decided to go ahead and model a bridge for it, as I liked the name, and it would give me an excuse to work on a big, original new bridge. This is by far the biggest bridge I've done, as I believe an Admiral's flagship, used for coordinating an entire fleet, would come prepared for the task with several communication officers posted on the bridge.
The aesthetic is very much inspired on the Nemesis era Enterprise-E, though keeping the Prometheus style helm (with some modifications, like the central status display), and adding in tactical consoles behind the command chairs which share the same aesthetic design.
Pretty much every section needs some work, but the main idea is in place. Also, I haven't found a registry number for the ship listed anywhere, so I went with NCC-74915 for it, making it a first batch Prometheus-Class starship. What do you think about this bridge?
I've also started working on the main shuttlebay of the Potemkin, but that'll be left on the back burner for another time.

I like it, especially the added consoles and chairs to the left and right of the command chair. Also, the way you designed the floor for the "pit" is really cool, with the differently shaped levels.
@SATR: While on 'Message in a Bottle' the doors were on the sides, they just lead to a corridor which went aft, which can be seen when the Romulan takes her injured comrade to sickbay. Prometheus-Class ships have a huge deck-1 when compared to other Federation starships, as there's a whole Warp nacelle stored in there, on the same level as the bridge; so there has to be an access between that section and the main bridge.
Besides, Trek door locations on bridges were never exactly set in stone, the only ships with visible exterior turbolifts are the NX, original Constitution, Galaxy and Intrepid classes. In several of the other ones we've seen how doors change locations from production to production on the whims of the directors.
@evil_genius_180: Thanks! I based the pit floor on the patterns of the Enterprise-E bridge floor, it's a very unusual style from previous Trek bridges.
More work on... well, other than the chairs, just about everything.
-The colors have been tweaked all over
-The ceiling struts are in place, and other than the centerpiece that area is pretty much done
-The aft wall has been completely redone and features a far bigger MSD than what I was gonna do before
-The light columns are finished and feature a pattern similar to that from the Prometheus Conn console
-More LCARS all over
-Finished the alcoves, with new dedication plaque, and the doors received new labels with once again a pattern similar to that of the forward consoles
I'm using the word 'finished' a lot though everything's still open to change.
Things are a bit darker now, but once I add the overhead lights they should help significantly. Still not sure how to tackle the consoles for the XO/Specialist chairs. I might leave them without consoles as homages to those on Admiral Riker's Enterprise. There they were clearly unused most of the time and just intended for VIP guests, though they didn't have enough chairs for poor Worf. Even as an ambassador he doesn't get to sit on the bridge of the Enterprise!

A damn fine ship’s bridge if you ask me! - Scotty probably
I really like what you did with the vertical light columns from the Enterprise-E.
Did you consider connecting and elongating the workstations behind the command chairs to form a larger workstation? Almost like an updated horseshoe design from the Galaxy class bridges. It would give a similar look to the Pasteur, but functional.
I also feel like she almost has too many side work stations for a ship her class. Maybe the two sets of stations could be replaced with padding? Really nice work though!
@JMP11: A Pasteur-style three sections combination was exactly my first thought for this, with Starfleet Command logos replacing the medical ones. However once I mocked up the design it just didn't look as good as I thought it would, given the presence of the guest chairs next to the Admiral's chair. They make that whole area a lot more difficult to navigate if you're also blocking access from behind the main chair.
Absolutely it has too many stations for a Prometheus (it has 17, while the Ent-E only has 15), that's why I'm imagining it as a one-off design specifically for an Admiral's ship. More communication stations for fleet coordination, plus officers who can remotely pilot the other parts of the ship during separation.
Very few changes from the last update but a few on which I'd love to hear your feedback: I've added small rails at the front of the pit, to avoid people falling down where there's no step; and I've added blue lights underneath each console, exactly as those under the steps. Thoughts about them both?
Also, modeling of the ceiling is done, and there are some more slight changes all over.

Meh, it would depend on the officer lol
The pit really looks good. Oh, how I love the Prometheus (class)!
