I found this one on Youtube "obviously". I think it would make a good prelude to the Eugenics Wars.

I was going to take a few minutes and watch the video, and then I saw the running time. I'll have to schedule some time for that. I do like the corkscrew ship - at least as much as I saw of it.

Yeah' it's pretty much a full length movie. I usually post original shorts in these things but this one wasn't too bad as opposed to other original full length movies I've seen.

Thumbnail is trying pretty hard to invoke some Expanse imagery.

Is this like one of those movies from The Asylum (Transmorphers, Atlantic Rim and so on)?

Are you saying that you've never seen The Expanse? 0.0

Oh I see, the posters are similar.

No, it's not nearly as bad as @$$lantic Rim, I don't know about Transmorphers. Beyond The Trek isn't the best movie I've ever seen, but I didn't feel like I was cheated out of an hour and a half after watching it.

I've never seen it. When it was announced that they were doing a TV show, I tried reading the first book and just couldn't get into it. So, my excitement for the TV show has been nil.

The Expanse is a pretty decent show, it has a lot of very realistic, very near future and contemporary tech in it. I personally think they could amp up some of the tech because it is supposed to be set in a time that's a few hundred years from now.

You should check out the one man Warhammer 40K show Astartes, if you haven't already.

    Okay that freaking awesome.

Is this thing finished or is there going to be more?
The Youtube page states that it a five part mini series and there are five parts posted up.
But it feel that if you add all 5 parts together that would just be part one of a wider story.

I dunno. Looks like this one's finished. From the author's Patreon:
Firstly I just want to thank you all here on Patreon so much for making this dream project possible! I might be too much a nervous wreck to watch along but Part 5 drops tomorrow and I hope you all enjoy. No this it not a delayed April Fools haha!

So what comes next? Well Part 5 does mark the end of this Chapter of the Astartes project but I'd love to continue! I have many 40k stories I'd like to tell and I already know where I want to take things next if the support for more is there. Also with the experience gained, raise the quality, enlist key help and bring episodes to you quicker!

Well that a Shame, I am interested to see where this story goes.
But what ever they do next, I will be watching.

Here's one that made rounds on the Discord:

    https://blindsight.space/

I liked some of the UIs and the chunky space suits. Anyone familiar with the novel?

    Impressive.
Reminds a little of one of the shorts from Love Death and Robots.
  • HundredHundred268 Posts: 1,021Member
    A few more shorts.

OATS Studios and Dust do great work in my opinion.

I was in Best Buy the other day, and a SONY video was on one of their products.

It depicted a multi-engine space shuttle of the future. Who did that? Any links?

    @publiusr

For All Mankind is a Sony Production and they have Pathfinder this season.
