Hi All!
Been.. ahwhile! I like the new look!
So, been busy on the 3d printing front, have a few to show right now, and am working on a few as well.
Last one I finished is the Engle class from Discovery, T Plana Hath!
Short update, but will be coming here more often in the future!
Thanks

So started work on the Malachowski class!
have a few hours in, got most blocked out, and most of the lower hull detailed out, so continueing on!
Sweet... And thanks! I was looking at the renders from Chris Kuhn over at cygnusX1 and there are very noticeable differences between these two. I take it the Meshweaver depictions are accurate to the show. That'll be handy if/when I get around to my own attempt.

Your mesh looks like a good match for the original.
here's a couple more of the Enterprise for ya.
The only one I found kind of interesting so far was the ship of Harry Mudds Father in law, though I can‘t find a picture right now.
So next done ( to busy building to do progress pics sometimes.. owell
the Section 31 Destroyer!
I got it as accurate as I can with what meger references.. Mostly the Eaglemoss preview pics and a STO side and top shot.. .
So.. Here ya go!
Accurate part is finding good references.. for this one, I googled the ship, found a good top and side shot from the Sto game, knowing that lately there imports have been pretty spot on. Then I go Screen cap the preview video from Irish Trekkie on youtube to get all the angles, if available Screenshot of the show, but those are near worthless because its so dark.
and block it out from the side and top and detail it out from the pics. For this one is to find a good shot of the defelector dish in the nose! Found 1 off angle.. so most in there is guess work
I have days instead of 3d working, I go scour the internet fore references, and save them.. must have like 2 TB of references of stuff..
But I am not a fan of this design.
This thing is a pain.. the shield grid is just.. Whereever! doens't follow the lines of the ship..Grrrr... want to take the 3d guy who done this and break his thumbs.. Owell..
But close to done. Needs windows, and the nacelles are only 80% done.. or so..
I would say this is more Late DS9 era than TNG.
Would make for a great redesign of the Miranda class.
I consider DS9 and Voyager to be part of the TNG era. As far as what we saw in the show, only 14 years pass between the beginning of TNG and the end of Voyager. (not counting time travel) So, to me, it's all one era. But, opinions will of course vary on that.
Yep, totally different design teams. You went from Andrew Probert and Rick Sternbach's style to John Eaves and Alex Jaeger's style. Though, Sternbach also designed Voyager, which kind of bridges the styles a bit, even though he and Eaves weren't even aware of what was happening on each others' projects.
Working on this, and Finished!
Now, there's the Eaglemoss stuff for the Tug, apparently its a Mala saucer, with Hoover naccelles, and some Shenzou pylons and some tug new parts.. So this is something I can Kitbash!
Next working on the Hoover class..
Getting close to done, some details left to do, and all of the saucer windows to do, but coming along!
So done with the Hoover.!
So no bridge window it seems.. just a light there.. huh.. who knows.. but this marks the end of scratch building the disco ships.. ( Unless I decide to do a Discovery.. doubt it..already a good model of it that I have..)
the rest I found on Thingy verse and they seem really good size wise, but missing alot of details, windows etc. so Next I'll redo those models, and add the details.. so eventually I'll have all the ships! Woo!
so untill then, here ya go!
Is this the only ship not to have window on the bridge from STD?
So, next is the Walker Class Shenzou..
Got this model off of Thingyverse.. But.. have to remake each piece.. ugh... Its basically a good reference material.. They probably downloaded it off of STO.. no windows, no detail no sheild grid.. NUthin!
Owell... Good reference..
So here ya go, about half done.. puting in windows etc..
Had to rebuild almost the entire thing, whole crapload of triangles everywhere.. But its done, and print ready! Woo!
So heres some final renders ( And yes.. i do need to make some pretty pictures.. and texture it.. eventually..)
Someone on shapeways wanted a 1400 Constellation class.. so since I had a Tmp Saucer and Nacelles already done, should be a quick bash. Started on this monday, maybe 8 hours in.
Almost done actually.. only part I don't have is the bottom greeble area.. I can't find good references for that area. Looks like another valkyrie tacked on like the top, but I can't see to well. If anybody has any refs or ideas whats there, please!
Thanks all!
