  I like the comparison between the two. For my taste the Ares does look a bit to much as the prometheus (never really liked the design, does not have the 'grandeur' the Constitution-II and Galaxy display, if you catch my drift).
  
  
  BUT this picture does capture the 'old vs new' (in the same era) very well i think. So, great picture!

  the Ares and the Prometheus are looking quite similar because the Ares is a successor to the Prometheus and the designconcept of the Prometheus was used as a base for the development of the Ares. the Ares is also about 40 m longer than its predecessor.

  The Galaxy looks gorgeous with all the details and shadowing.
