Equipment locker is a good idea, though personally I'd always thought that corridor would lead to a separate gearing up area entirely... Also surprised @Rusty0918 that you haven't asked for one of your ubiquitous phaser lockers behind the transporter console.
While you're at it, put one next to the bathroom sink. Just in case.
Hehe, yeah given the canon locker the transporter room already has, it's a bit redundant to add another one. However like Rusty said, fire extinguishers were indeed planned, and now that the side walls are complete, I can finally add it in.

You know, Rekkert, for your inevitable Potemkin version of said transporter room, perhaps you can make the back patterns inverted like what they did for the Yosemite's transporter booth in "Realm of Fear:"
I was joking about the phaser locker lol (though the more I think about it, I'd rather only having to reach under the console or behind me for a phaser, than having to sprint into an alcove where I'd be penned in! :P )
Re: the Jenolan I agree, that pattern would fit the Potemkin nicely.
One other thing that might be useful for older Excelsiors in general @Rekkert:The Ent-B featured a trapezoid motif on several sickbay and deflector control wall panels, not too disimilar to the above panels in the Transporter Room alcove. I have a vague memory of a similar pattern in the Excelsior aft Bridge alcove ceiling, so it could be a neat design element to echo for those old, non-refit examples, to help create an identity for the class...
Look for SeanR's bridges ("Oberbrückenmeister" ;-) ) and Lennier's stuff. They are an eyecandy aswell. But for sure, Rekkert is damn fast with his sweet stuff!
OOOPS. Can't edit. THere also needs to be the red alert flashers on top of those light panels that flank the transporter chamber as well as that fire extinguisher by the door. Then it's good to go!
Ah yes, that's what I' mean. Also of course the fire extinguisher by the door, please.
@JMP11 - Well, Robert Picard was probably not into high-tech fire suppression. He hated replicators and sonic showers. Though he could benefit from some.
Interestingly, the last episode that showed the transporter room set, "Bloodlines," I think it was, didn't have that equipment locker thing. Doesn't bother me though, since it WOULD be present in my stories (and my crew uses it a lot to equip themselves for away missions).
@Rusty0918: Yeah, I'm thinking that it was probably done for Generations, but because the transporter set wasn't used in the last few TNG episodes, it was done ahead of time. That's why it's already changed on the set tour, while other rooms (specifically the bridge) still look as they did in late season 7. Ironically the changed details aren't even seen in the movie anyway...
@Nevets: Thanks! Yeah, if a certain fan project would still be alive, you'd be able to do just that... But as @maran said...
Okey, the new green paint dried up...

It's weird because I kind of like it, but then I remember they stuck it in the middle of an otherwise largely beige starship - and it always makes me queasy!
I do think the color would work well with something like the Brattain though...

That's the one place I'd actually endorse a phaser locker. Last thing you need is to be caught short when the Klinks beam aboard
In my stories, I actually have the crew using that equipment locker.

@Lonewriter: Thank you very much!
@FANGs: Their interior renders are amazing and a constant source of inspiration to me, as are yours.
I've finished the LCARS for the transporter controls, so I believe I'm done with the Galaxy transporter. More renders coming soon haha.
Rusty, where were you when the Picards built their home???
Okey, I'll add that other fire extinguister.
As for the red alert flashers, do you mean these black boxes? I'd already add them in when working on the side compartment, but I forgot to show them.

@Starscream: Haha, funny you mention that, I was just painting the walls green.
Better not, CBS would be all over you
