I am planning a project using my Jupiter 2 from Lost In Space and the robot. Did a not-so-quick render of the flight deck and a short video.

Nice animation, bro. The still render looks nice too. :)

I'll bet that glass added quite a bit to the render time.

Very nice. I've been investigating GPU rendering software, thus I haven't posted anything new with my work.

I've been looking at Octane, Vray for C4D, Arnold, and FurryBall RT. From what I've seen so far, Octane may be the best choice for the single workstation, i7-860 CPU. What is your experience with renderers?

Thanks for the kind words folks.

Wasp88, I am using the built-in renderer with C4D. I am on the waiting list for Pixar's Renderman when it becomes available for C4D. Using the built-in renderer, that scene took just over 3 hours to render. Partly due to the glass, but also because I had the anti-aliasing cranked way up (8x8 minimum and 16x16 maximum) along with ambient occlusion turned on.

Nice, wish the video was longer and had the robot moving about in it. :thumb:
