This is the longest build that I every had done. I had put this kit back on the shelf in 2009 when the economy crashed and now things are slowly getting back, I hope the market will be ready for this kit.
I've been working on this kit for many years and now the finishing line is at hand. The fabrication is pretty much done, I still need to apply the vinyl and tiny details. Some of these photos have the vinyl pattern decals for test fit applied. Today, I will send off the patterns out to the sign shop to have them cut out.
You can see the progress here; http://s995.photobucket.com/user/StarcraftModels/library/Valdore?sort=9&page=1
Like the 1/1000 Akira, the 1/1400 Valdore with come in two versions, the basic kit is designed for painting only, the advanced kit is designed for lighting. The lighted version comes with 14 clear cast parts alone with pre wired sub-wings and a hollow 1/8" base rod for sending wire to the head.
In order to keep the price down, I will only be selling these kits from my new website: http://www.starcraftmodels.com/
My site is still in the works and more will be added as time goes on.
The Basic Valdore kit is $275.00 and the advanced kit is $300.00
I still need to build the kit, make the instructions and create the boxart, and I can start taking pre-orders.
SC-45 Warbird Valdore $275.00
This is from the movie Star Trek Nemesis. This is an extremely detailed model kit, it has raised panels that make painting a breeze. The kit is in 1/1400 scale with a wingspan of 23Aâ. It is constructed to be lightweight and is hollowed out wherever possible.
The basic kit SC-45 comes with 25 opaque resin also has black Onyx resin for extra strength.

LET THERE BE LIGHT
This is the first kit that I've attempted to light myself. It should be simple, there are no strobes or flashers or a need for a circuit board.
I'm using the lightable kit that comes pre-wire and has the clear parts. Iadded some pictures with descriptions here;

Just have to wait for the paint to dry. I used oil paint to for this kit, it worked great. I was able to apply one coat of green and then start wiping off the excess, the result worked as I was hoping. The dark panel lines stayed behind and the more paint I rubbed away, the lighter the shade came out. I couldn't imagine have to hand brush this entire thing, it would take forever! What you see here took only one day, but no telling how long it will take for the oil paint to dry. Once it does, I'll clear coat it and the the final assembly and hooking up the lights.
I will start shipping next week http://www.starcraftmodels.com/

is the same kit built for lighting, it contains 14 clear cast parts with a two piece clear head for easy light installation. There is a 1/8Aâ base tube installed in the neck for wiring. The sub-wings are pre-wired by casting the wires inside the parts.
