More Wing Commander stuff! Yeah, I know. Volumetric shadows in space. Consider that they're moving through a debris field of destroyed ships and shredded oxygen supplies.

    i like this image. it is in some ways reminiscent of the shapes and colours used in many sci-fi paintings and book covers and for once i can say "it looks like a painting" in a good way. i like the red engine glows and the somewhat chaotic(though nicely symmetrical) "panelling" on the subject ship and the hazy background colours make it stand out from the rest of the image, even if realistically that would require a fogged up lens on any camera taking this rather nicely composed shot. i really would say "it works well!".
