I've posted about this before in my other thread, I think, I'm trying to create new grills for the Enterprise D model by Prologic... due to the geometry as it stands, cutting in new grills is not working... I'm trying to figure out how to make a nice clean shape for the warp engines, then extrude the grills from that... but how to get the overall shape escapes me...
I was cleaning up the geometry that makes up the "casing," so it didn't have so many unnecessary edges, to then create new loops long ways and extrude the grills that way, but that was short lived, because of the way the geometry is distorted at the back...
Any help will be appreciated.

I just deleted those polygons, and using the extrude tool for the edges, extruded more and just rapped it, etc. around similar to the old casing and voila:
Using the graphite modeling tools using flow connect... I was able to add back in smoothly curved geometry to smooth the bend.

No matter how many times I connect edges to create a new row, I can't seem to get it to where they'd be perfectly centered... like the studio model...
You can see 4 grills centered between the hull...
