I'm working on the ring that goes with my red lantern and have this so far:

I need to make a chain with the links rotated at 90' from each other and have it go around the inside of the recessed rim around the middle. I can make a chain, the issue is getting it to fit exactly into the middle recession with the links evenly spaced. Any tips?
