composition advice wanted for fact sheet style renders

amongst other uses for the images i was planning to have some t-shirts printed. i wanted to get my images into this kind of style, i suppose i would call it a "fact sheet" style though searching under google with those terms produces very few relevant results. i was going to reuse some of the material from existing renders for the banshee, churchill class, hellhound etc but thought i should improve them because at the very least the aspect ratio need to be seriously changed so there would no longer be room for the details and images as they are currently arranged. i was looking for advice on what sort of stuff to include, i want to make the renders really awesome and show off the models as well as is physically possible on a 2d medium. does anyone have suggestions on what to include, what angles to show, what kind of images to use. some examples of the sort of thing i mean are included here. i have also included the image i created by rearranging some older renders to fill the new aspect ration, i would like to hear what you think of it and if there are ways to improve it. i am not looking for opinions on my models merely on how to show them so do not think i will be hugely resistant to new ideas in this context.
thanks, ideas will be appreciated.

that flashfire one is very awesome, not least because of the design of ship it in

Considering you apparently like the style used in pics 3-12 (since you referenced so many from the same artist) of your first post it stands to reason you should mimic that to an extent. The big thing to note is that all of the good fact sheets have a background image. If you could come up with something that has more depth than a plain gray background then that'd be a good start. Also, actually completing textures on a model would go a good way to increasing the aesthetics of whatever you produce.

what sort of background would you suggest. i could "wash out" an image of the ship to make it look grey and pale but this may be a bit weird having itself as the background. i don't really have a logo or symbol to use so am unsure what to base a background on. i can see exactly what you mean about a background as some of the not so great renders here, including mine, lack it while the best have it. thanks for the help so far.
