Full 3D starship, combine work? (Exterior / Interior)

Hello,

I know people just love to make 3d stuff..
Why dont people work together in making it?
And also, why only create the outside?
Why not fully create it?? as in, also the inside aswell?
there are a lot of blueprints free online, if you do a search, and maybe if people post it on this website other people can work on it also, or create some sort of opencloud system in this website so people can work together?
is this an idea?
would be cool, if finally there will be full designs online of starships and sorts..
especially the startrek ones...

many of the ships/fighters i design do contain full interiors. also some of the ships you see on tv/in films were designed as an outside and inside separately meaning that although it has all the parts when you try and build it in 3d the interior is too big/wrong shape to actually fit inside the craft.
