    I just watched all seasons of Space 1999 .

    As with other old shows, science and knowledge have trumped them.
    When space 1999 was out, we had not even had a good image of a planet. or knew of what we now know of the cosmos.
    But I find them interesting also to watch.How they imagined things. Planets, stars,races,technologies etc..
    Another thing,

    I do not know where the story originated, but the episode Alpha's Child story line has been used in Star Trek and othe SciFi.
    Found that interesting also.

    I do remember that Space 1999 at the time was very futuristic for its time.And some of the sets were awesome.( for then)
