Thank you! Yes, I'm in the process of getting the parts together for what will be a "real" build in the near future (if anyone's got a 1/24 Bandai M60 lying around, I'd very much like to speak to you ). I'd also like to 3D print a more manageable 1/2 scale version at some point as well, hence the CG model.
I really love watching these star destroyer threads progress from the basic shapes to uber detailed ships. I can only imagine how painstaking that is. Progress is looking really great.
Thank you all! It's definitely taking it's time - it's not uncommon that I'll spend several hours on a single part or spend days trying to ID a part. :argh: More shortly! I'm in the process of filling out the "trenches" between the hull plates (which use the same 2 sub-assemblies over and over again) and the front superstructure.

yes I know what you mean ... 5 hours of research --- 1 hour modeling
Thanks all! I'll post a WIP from the front tonight - it's been a matter of adjustment, part placement, and re-adjustment. Still lots of tweaking to do, but I feel like I'm finally closing in on the overall proportions and dimensions.
Stonky, not to necro your thread or anything, but am I correct in assuming that you've either downloaded the reference shots I took of the Devastator or I've sent them to you? It's been a while since we talked online, and I forget.

I think so, thank you! Are they the ones linked to your signature?
