Did I hear the 'ole "Tachmeister's" name mentioned........I haven't heard (speaks in a revered hushed voice) about that dood in an age. Haven't seen any of his work for ever. Btw Devilman u suk. Nah Jus Joshin. Ur work is awesome. It always seems that ur work seems to tease us with ur ability to know how to render a dam nice pic. :)

Once again, nice work. I definitely like the lighting, although the background colors wouldn't have been my first choice, it does somehow work together.

To the doubters: setting and lighting are everything. I don't particularly care for the design or even in some aspects the modeling of the ships, and the background strikes me as good but not great. Honestly what truly makes this image is the lighting. Not even that it is particularly realistic, but that it captures a certain emotion in this scene. That is what all great artwork is about: how can we take what people expect and tweak it to just such an extent that it moves them. This image accomplished that.

Every once in a while the importance of the art itself rises above the realism.
