Vray light mtl animation without gi!

Hi,
I have a starship scene animation which i am rendering with vray and gi.
However, i want to render the particle animations and self illuminated objects as a different pass to be able to edit in post with fusion.
I,m thinking of applying mattshadow to all other objects in the scene (Particles have light mtl to), delete all lights snd render without gi, so that i do not deal with prepass/flythrough and such for ir and lc, and save render time.

As i will not be using gi and having the main animation of the ship already rendered with gi, will it cause flicker to render the particle or ships windows and add them on top of main animation using add blending methot.

Thanks..
