The best part of this is how you layered the forward section of the secondary hulls to suggest heat sinks and other tech. I'd like to see more of that.
Could you specify what you meant? The only heat sinks I have are those parts that hang down from the rear of the nacelles. The layered forward hull was in two parts, the main engineering section and the connector/central pylon mount. Now the 'bracers' at the bottom of the central pylon are heatsinks I haven't finished yet.
The array looks like it would work great with some light effects and compositing, the underside is almost done, need to redo the underside sensor strip.
I'd like to do some more with the ship. I plan to add a hexagonal grid to the deflector array, and need to lay phaser tracks along the hull. Any advice? You know how the phaser arrays on the 1701 D lat along the hull, how to I get an object to lay along he suirface of another in blender? Any ideas?
great work, texturing can be a pain but once its done its worth it. your ship is very interesting a nice design cant wait to play around with it if you upload it..

Rear view backlit, showing glowing parts better.
