Outstanding Work! ... beautifully done!
I would love to do something of that quality with our Prime Alternative Model, shuttle, dry dock and pods.. and tie it into an TOS-R episode.
I am Blown Away :thumb::thumb::thumb:
is youtube blocked over there or something, if it is try a proxy. just don't sign into any accounts through it as the proxy could steal your login details.
No, it's because the music is ID matched and the copyright owners of the music have blocked Germany on "copyright grounds." Even though one can buy and watch the movie in Germany, lol.

I'm sure you could, I think your work is awesome.

Paul Trenkler's model is certainly a complex model to deal with, since it's not very optimized like Nightfever's Enterprise in terms of the textures. Literally every section of Paul's Enterprise E is its own group within a group within a group.
Not to mention all the reversed normals...
:argh:
The textures also aren't perfect, mostly generic hull panel textures.

Just a bit of a suggestion, you really should put your 5 second logo at the end of the video. If you have longer videos, then yes, it's reasonable to have one at the start, but you're averaging 10-20 second videos here and you're wasting an extra 5 seconds on a logo at the start of each. It's really going to annoy people and probably drive away viewers on your channel if you keep doing it.

It's not my logo, so to speak, it's the multichannel network I'm a part of, it's added automatically, because I have it set as the branding intro for my channel.
The only way to remove it, would be to remove it from there, then add it manually to every video.

Made some adjustments... There's still room for improvement in lighting and such. Also, the drydock is not exactly the high detail of the studio model, but it gets the job done at present.

I already told you via PM, but that video of the B leaving the dock is top notch work. I was blown away when I saw it! Same with your recent Klingon battlecruiser videos.
Japetus was kind enough to send me his Kronos One, had it for several weeks now, been so busy with the TOS project, finally got around to making a render with it. Absolutely lovely model.

One of my old/recent projects... I do think I will revisit this eventually...
Like the departure sequence, originally this video had the live action shots and full audio from the movie, but for copyright safety reasons, I removed them and re-uploaded this FX shots and silent version.

I think this will be the best the trails will be until I can figure out a way to create a decent replication of the effect from the movie. I still think this effect looks rather nice...

That looks pretty good Chris. I will have to go back and look at it again in the movie as I thought it was more streamer like than particle like. That being said, I wish I could do half as good as you do. Are all the effects done in After Effects?

Thanks! Yea, it starts as solid straight streaks, but it disperses, but because of the speed, the particles don't stay together for some reason until they disperse. Yes, the glows, particles, etc. is done AE. I use the great plugin Real Glow for the glow effects.

Rendering I put together, based on the shot from The Wrath of Khan. This part of the movie is so profound now.
