shuttlebat Inertior and Dennis baiely Enterprise Model

I have been working to place a Model of the star Trek v shuttlebay in my Model of the USS Enterprise created by Dennis Baiely, thus far after hours and hoursa of trying I have been unable to get the open shuttlebay doors to show the interior of the ship as if you are looking into the shuttlebay Interior. the shuttlebay Model was designed to fit inside the enterprise model and I was wondering if anyone knew how to approach this? it appears to be to me that the shuttlebay clam shell doors must be removed from the Enterprise Model before adding the shuttlebay Model, but I do not have any clue HOW to do this. suggestions nyone? any at all?
