Great game if you can get past some of the peculiarities. ITs F2P and can easily become P2W if you are not careful...lol
If any of you guys want a helping hand...come to the caprica server and sign up as a cylon. The cylons have the coolest looking and best knife fighting ships.
The colonials have the viper and raptor and then a bunch of Fugly ships with big blind spots.
In game call sign is Scrappy if any of you guys are interested. We run a Teamspeak voiceserver as well as sporting a majority of the top 20 players.
Hope to see you guys out there....some pics of the ships that I have done......
The quality of the pics is largely affected by my image hoster...but you can see how good this is for a browser based game...

Fleet action - taking out a colonial op - good representation of lots of cylon ships. all player controlled
Did they finally fix the controls?
Last time I gave it a try movement inside a building was so slow it's not even funny and the space controls/handling were so bad I wasn't sure why I even bothered.

You can hit the spacebar to run when you are inside the spacestation/Outpost!
Control for vipers/raiders consists of the arcade type four axis controls. Turn left/right ... pitch up/down. They have an auto orientation feature that you have to work around. Once you do ... its great. If you don't ... it can be very frustrating because your ship will actually stop turning mid-turn because of the auto correction feature.

Cylon outpost popping fleet from last night
I tried it for 20-30 minutes last night. The inside controls weren't a problem for me, I found the run button (spacebar.) However, the space controls are very bad, IMO. They're not smooth like the controls of other space games. I'll probably try it again sometime later, but the space control issue is not making me very excited about the game.
I tried it out some time ago and the game is P2W. Without spending serious amounts of money for ships and equipment one won't get far.And there is still the problem of unbalanced server load, too many colonials on a server compared to Cylons. I couldn't finish a mission since the area was alreay occupied by colonials. In addition there aren't even much missions around, it's doing the same all over again and again, so I quite after I got bored and decided not to put money in the game.
i myself play BSGO as a colonial (booooooooo, i know) but hell i like the look of the new carrier class it looks much nicer than the battlestar class definately wouldnt mind seeing a proper 3d model of it

I didn't even know about it until today, though I was on their site earlier. I'll probably sign up and take a look here in a bit.

Yeah, that's how a lot of F2P games are.
I still need to sign up and try it. Though, the screen caps look good, even if some of the ships are fugly. Thanks for posting those.

See a size difference?
Total waste of the BSG IP IMO.
