Continued working on the engines, added some internal detailing that is shown when the flaps are in their open position.
Locked the mainbody (White areas are locked-down meshes and ready for detailing) and started to detail it along side the engines, just small work done so far but will have more soon.
I'm currently redoing the internal engine details since I'm not particularly happy with the current ones. Will either go with a more "normal" jetengine type, perhaps two big and a few smaller around those or a reworked version of the current one.
Some more WIP renders for you from the past few days. Started working on the weapons. Front images shows where the big 120mm Gatling gun will be, right in the center and then 3x smaller 110mm machine guns on either side of it.
Did not have the time to render out updated pics on the machine guns though so I will post images of that once the 120mm Gatling gun is finished in the coming few days also the area on the top of the main body have since the renders been removed since I did not really like how that turned out and my initial idea to have missile-tubes there have been scrapped.
Other areas of progress are that I've fleshed out some more areas, added "heatsinks" to the area between the wing's and main body. Also work have been started on some form of landing/docking "legs" and missile bays on the bottom of the main body. Red "dots" are my initial planning of thruster locations, size and location are not yet final though so any input is more than welcome.

Makes me want go go back and finish one of my halo models I started years ago, maybe a destroyer
this looks really good, I never really got stuck in to my longsword, God my halo models are so old, some of them 6 years!!! Hoping I get some new material from Halo 4
The ship looks very nice, however, the front should be a bit wider, and the red dots should be a bit smaller. Everything else is just fantastic, love the details you put into the engines.
@SplittMatter: Hmm you might be right that the nose might need to be a little bit wider. I will do some tests and see, for now it aligns pretty good with the reference's I have. Thanks!
@publiusr: Thanks! I quite like the engines as they are, as you said they need to be a little different and I think I found a good balance to still keep it familiar and add more details to it.
@liam887: I've been following your Halo project for some time, love the models you have done and your work was one of my inspiration sources to get started on this project.
I've spent lots of time lately trying to find a good way to do panels. After numerous tests, the way I stuck with was building a polygon pattern separate of the base mesh and having it intersect with the body. Then combining those two so I would get lines from where the two meshes intersect and thus having custom looking panel lines and panels to work with, the down side the mesh does end up a mess, but I guess that it is unavoidable in this case.
I've also finished the thruster's on the back fin, I still need to make another set of thrusters for the main body and the wings as I do not want to use the same. The fin itself feels quite done, might add some smaller details and panels but I'm pretty happy with how it looks now.
So the things that are left to do;
* Finish the paneling and add smaller panels.
* Finish the wings and add details such as flaps and similar.
* Finish up the missile bays and the main entry ramp.
* Finish up all smaller details, such as add steps on the wings and beside the guns for external access points.
* Create missiles and mines.
* Rig all moving parts for animations trough xPresso.
* Finish up lights, engine wash and similar details.
* Texturing.
Still lots to do before it's ready for action, but it's starting to shape up quite good.
I havn't really done any modeling since last time, but I have been reading up on how to do realistic textures since that is something that I've never done before. So I've started texturing the rear fin of the ship as it's complete model wise as an exercise to learn texturing.
Color/Diffuse, Normal (Which is for now, blank) and Specular/Reflection Maps, all 8192x8192. Left to do is draw out the plates, create the normal maps and a final pass of scratches/damage once those are complete. Tools used is Photoshop/nDo2 and 3D-Coat (Unwrapping) and rendered in Cinema4D.
I would love to get some feedback on the textures and what you think of them so far.

Still got some work to do before I'm finished and can start working on the textures, but it's getting closer to being finished!
