We know from the episode that the laser hand weapons aren't on a par with the Galactica. But what does this means in terms of the destroyer?
I expect that the destroyer despite being more primitive than the Galactica, is for it time very powerful indeed. That is, I expect the laser canon to be good enough, though barely for taking on Cylon Basestars.
That isn't the question. How many destroyers would be destroyed in any attack upon a Cylon basestar? Which then bring us to how long does it take be one destroyer?
I grabbed some screen captures of the original series Battlestar Galactica from the episode "Baltar's Escape" of the Eastern Alliance Destroyer. According to the show, the ship does fit inside the Galactica landing bay, proving once again the visual effects crew adjust the size of the Galactica just to fit the script.

Now we can have a real discussion.
As in how is it armed? Turbolasers?

Either that or the destroyer shrank....
Which just goes to prove that Hollywood lacks a sense of perspective.:D
Are you talking about me, or another Bolian???
I was refering to the second picture down, tha tshows a picture of one of the characters.
Consider how high off the ground the control is, and then consider how far away a person would have to be, in order to be seen....
One big goof. On their part.
Well done!
