Thanks again! Still some tweaking to do, but I think that it's working out. I finished the antenna thing last night and did some more on the baseplates as well - I'll try to post something when I get home tonight. I still have to make the white and yellow minifigs to go along with the red one as well.

I request the 6880 Surface Explorer set, even though I have fond memory's of playing with the fugly Rocket Sled.
Nice work, I always wondered on the reasoning why they would use the colour of lego skin for the spacesuit, now it looks like hes naked with a chest tattoo.

You're right, he does look naked, he has got to be cold up there on the moon. A lot of the kits that I had back then didn't call for a clear piece at the end of the gun like they do now, but you're right, it would spice it up a bit - maybe I'll add it.
The little kid with in me wants to dig out my old sets and play with them again.
Well, you have kids, no? Just wait untill they're out of the just-eating-and-excreting-larva-stage and become interactive, then you'll have a very excuse in the world do dust off your lego.
