Aaaaand some more bridge shots. I've since rebuild the viewscreen/window (imho J.J. Abrams' only worthwile addition to Star Trek) and cleaned up some weird geometry. But there's still more to be done ...
I've also changed the bridgedome from frosted to clear glass. Looks great from the inside but not so much from the outside ... might have to think about that some more.
Also those textures still need work. Allways my least favorit part of building something :-D
Wanted to see how the bridge looks in motion so I rendered a little video in the best quality my notebook was able to handle: sweet sweet potato quality 😁
Nothing more to do than to head down to the bar and grab a cold red one
Wanted to see how the interiors look in Kontext of the full ship and I‘m quite happy with it. The interiors in the top of the saucer are basically finished with that (just some corridors and the observation deck)
Also: I thought about connecting the corridor behind the Rooms in the lower rim of the saucer and the window corridor in the bottom saucer. They don‘t line up perfectly (hence the stairs) but it doesn’t look too bad. However I‘d have do line up every door manually which could take some time. And it would be a corridor leading to another corridor, which doesn’t really make sense 🤔
Did some work on the underside of the ship today. Now I just need to think about something to put in that last four rooms on the bottom saucer ... maybe some luxurious quarters ... oder some more labs since their proximity to the sensor dome 🤔
Also: I connected the corridor on the lower saucer rim to the ... let‘s call it ... observation corridor. Hat to pretty much rebuild that one but am quite happy with the result.
Very Cool.
Not a fan of that secondary hull but it fits with the era.
Love the fact your building the interior, I don't think I have ever seen anyone do a whole ship.

I don't think, that this'll be the final design of the secondary hull. But I've grown quite attached to it. Then again, I guess you can grow attached to anything, if you put that much (free-)time and effort in it
Since I finished the corridors in the upper saucer I wanted a render looking out from one of the science labs there.
Also: I thought, if I'm doing the shuttlebay somewhere down the line, I might as well have a shuttle to put in there, so I started to put one together today:
If someone's interested, what the layout on the inside of the ship actually looks like: I did a quick viewport render:
Given, I went at this without any plan whatsoever, it looks pretty coherent
I like the shuttle, reminds me of the JJ and DIS design style. I am not fan of the ships in those films or show.
So I am not sure if your design fits with your ship as that sits nicely with TOS.

Hmm ... I can’t say, that I see the resemblance. I actually used this one as a reference:

Also: I modeled a new reaction control system but am not very happy with it. But maybe it's just the colors that are off ...
on that reder you can also see, that I moved the phaser turrets so that they're no longer directly above the bar.
And the view from the bar is still quite nice
I also added a little bit more color to the hull. It's not that visible on that render but I'll do some more tomorrow.

There was this project, which I followed some time ago. But sadly it just stopped someday

Well I changed it in part because of your suggestion ... so thank you I guess
Why not try it? ;-) ... however it is kind of addicting, once you start and I have it a little easier with the regular circle shaped saucer section.
Glad you noticed 😁
